My name is Alisa and I love to paint! I'm a visual artist on a mission to discover and share with you other artists I've met along the way who are living a creative life full time, and how they did it. I also love to write about my own experiences building a business as a creative entrepreneur. Here we talk artists, artwork, business, and support. I love what I do, and I love to share it with you!

A Little Spring Never Hurts

LET THE SUN SHINE IN!

Spring Flowers Bloomin' with Creative Inspiration - Alisa Steady Art

It's after the holidays and I'm slugging through the longest months out of the whole year - January and February. Typically these two months have little to NO sunshine. Makes us Midwesterners cranky and Vitamin D deprived.

That means breaking out the bright colorful palette is even MORE crucial in order to get through these long dark days. This year my word is 'Growth' - it's the word I fall back on when I'm contemplating work, or thinking about personal goals (like weight loss), and business development. When I think of the word 'growth' I think of a bright garden with rich soil and beautiful fragrant blooms.

This trio of flower paintings is the kick off to some of  that growth. Little paintings with a BIG message about inspiring and living a creative life. It's what I aspire to do. Getting there is challenging, rife with set backs and minor disappointments. But just like the bulb of a tulip, I will push up and through the tough ground and make it to the top...and thrive. Even when the weather is a bit cold....

My hope FOR YOU is to stay the course on your creative journeys. No matter HOW HARD it gets, stick to it. Be gentle, but - GO FoR IT!

XOXO
