You know, looking over this past year - I realize I made some big decisions and took some leaps. For starters, I ramped up Alisa Steady Art, and gained a lot more supporters, and clients. I created the ASA Newsletter, which is a lot of fun to produce - and, I painted practically every day! Which is important for me. I like to watch how my style of painting has evolved over the past couple of years.
I also gifted myself with an online course called 'Flying Lessons,' by Kelly Rae Roberts. Changed my life, expanded my horizons, and got me in touch with some pretty FANTASTIC artists. The support group that manifested because of Kelly Rae's online workshop is one of the most important things that have happened to me in my art career. No kidding.
As a result, I am now doing my second most favorite thing in the world (painting being the first) - writing! Because of 'Flying Lessons' I developed and am writing two blog series on subjects I am passionate about - artists, and supporting people who want to make a living working their dreams.
And, I finally got the courage to get a professional photographer to take real pictures of me and my artwork. I decided the time had come to build my own professional site, and I wanted to go about it professionally (ahem) which meant putting down the iPhone, and picking up courage to have my picture taken.
I even lost a little weight this past year by 1/2ing every thing I put into my mouth, though, admittedly, after Thanksgiving, I think I've regained the weight....but! I discovered what works for me (1/2 my portions), and have every intention of doing that again after the Holidays.
My 2013 goals are:
1) I will be 40 lbs lighter and a smaller person by Aug 19, 2013
2) I will be able to financially support myself with Alisa Steady Art by Dec 30, 2013.
I read that when you're writing goals for yourself you need to define them. You don't write, "I will be 40lbs lighter." It's recommended that you be more descriptive, and give yourself a 'by' date. I like that.
So, that's me.
I would LOVE to know what your two top goals are for 2013?
It's so encouraging!

It's so incredible how the Flying Lessons course has changed so many of our lives! I just never imagined...it's so wonderful. Good luck with your goals, I know you will achieve them. I love how clearly you defined them...that always guarantees better results. By the way, I love the picture of you holding the mug...and thinking.
ReplyDeleteHi, Amy! Much success for your goals in 2013, too! Thanks you for your lovely compliments, too - :o). Happy Holidays!
DeleteGlad to hear that it has been such a great year for you! I'm going to need to check out the flying lessons. I've been trying to figure out how to get my art career in motion myself. Fingers crossed that you will accomplish all of this years goals! : D
ReplyDeleteHi Lenoracle! The Flying Lessons workshop was brilliant. Truly changed my life. Kelly Rae's 'Taking Flight' book (which you can get anywhere) is also a lovely item to have in the business tool box. May all your goals for '13 come to fruition as well! xoxo
